Congratulations to Benton High School teacher, Ms. Pamela Cummings! She has been named the 2023 Arkansas History Teacher of the Year! This award is given by the Gilder Lehrman Foundation which honors teachers who demonstrate exceptionally creative and imaginative lessons in the classroom. Once Ms. Cummings was nominated, she had to submit a resume, a sample lesson plan or student project, and a letter of support from an administrator to complete the process. Ms. Cummings has been teaching history for 17 years. She has a Master's in American History and Government degree. Congratulations, Ms. Cummings! We are #BentonProud of you!
