Our 5th grade science students were hard at work designing water filters using everyday objects! đ§đŹ Each team created a unique filter and tested it on a different water sample, then reflected on how well their design worked.
Hands-on learning like this brings the scientific process to lifeâdesign, test, and reflect in action! Way to go, scientists! đ #WeAreBenton

đ Reminder: There is NO SCHOOL today in observance of the holiday.

In 7th grade social studies, students are learning about the failure of the Articles of Confederationâespecially the chaos caused when each state had its own currency and no one could agree on its value. đžđ€Ż
To bring this concept to life, each group created their own money and then tried to buy and sell products at a farmerâs market. Students experienced firsthand just how confusing and chaotic trade becomes without a common currency or a reliable way to determine equivalent value.
Hands-on history like this makes the past come aliveâand helps students truly understand why change was needed! #WeAreBenton
