Dress like a snowman or wear your favorite snow-themed clothing!
💚 Thursday 12/18 – Grinch Day
Dress as any Grinch character—Whos and Grinches welcome!
🎶 Friday 12/19 – Christmas Song Day
Dress like a holiday song! Rudolph? Frosty? Be creative!

✨ Remember: Dress code still applies—no hats, wigs, face paint, pajamas, or hair color.

🧵✨ Learning in Action: BMS Art Classes! ✨🧵

Our art rooms are buzzing with creativity as every grade level dives into sewing projects this month with Mrs. Moore.

🎨 5th Grade
Students are starting small and learning sewing basics by creating adorable two-piece snowman ornaments. A perfect first step into stitching!

🧵 6th Grade
Using what they learned in 5th grade, our 6th graders are sewing a more complex 3D form—a flying squirrel! They’re working from patterns and building confidence with each stitch.
Early finishers are also helping create festive Christmas decorations for the building, and we’ve included some photos of their awesome work.

🐾 7th Grade
Our most advanced sewers are taking on a challenging 14-piece standing ferret pattern! They’re learning how to shape pieces using darts and developing impressive problem-solving skills.
They are also creating holiday pop-up books at the same time—talk about multitasking!
No one has finished yet, but check out these process photos showing their hard work and creativity in action.

We are so proud of the patience, craftsmanship, and excitement our students are showing as they tackle these projects. Stay tuned for the finished masterpieces! ✨

📣 Unified Club Meeting Update! 🍂

Our partners have been hard at work, and we’re excited to share that they have completed two new bulletin boards to showcase our club and sport activities! They look fantastic and will help highlight all the amazing things our students are doing. 🙌

We also have a beautiful new sign, crafted by Mr. Jason Willis from our maintenance crew. It’s now on display, and we’re so grateful for his talent and support! 🛠️✨

🏐 Unified Volleyball Team in Action! 🏐

Our Special Olympics Unified Team hit the court for their volleyball game, and what an incredible match it was! 💪✨ Both our athletes and partners showed amazing teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit. Every serve, pass, and cheer reminded us what inclusion and unity are all about.
