El Distrito Escolar de Benton realizará los siguientes cambios en los horarios escolares para compensar los 5 días de nieve perdidos: El lunes 19 de febrero (Día del Presidente) y el viernes 29 de marzo (Viernes Santo) serán días escolares regulares. The Benton School District will make the following changes to school schedules in order to make up the 5 snow days missed: Monday, February 19th (President's Day) and Friday, March 29 (Good Friday) will be regular school days. Friday, May 24th will be the last day of school. If you are not receiving the district's text messages and would like to, text "START" to 98900. To receive messages, even after opting in, you must be a contact for your student in e-school. That means the back-to-school paperwork you filled out at the beginning of the year must have your number listed as a contact for the student. If you have opted out of receiving messages from a different district, chances are we use the same software, and you have also opted out of our communication.

Benton Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2023, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16, 2023.

Benton Public Schools will be closed from December 21st - to January 3rd for Christmas Break.

Due to the LEARNS Act, we can no longer count AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) days toward the state-required 178 student instruction days. Therefore, if school is canceled due to a weather event, the day(s) will be added to the end of the school year. Decisions regarding school closings will most likely be made the day of.

The Benton School District will be closed November 20-24 for Thanksgiving Break. We look forward to seeing our Panthers on Monday, November 27th.

On Sunday, November 5th, Daylight Savings Time ends. Don't forget to fall back and adjust your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday night so you can get that extra hour of sleep!

Make plans to join us for some Halloween fun with our baseball team! Monday, October 30th at 6:30 the Baseball Team will be hosting the 3rd Annual Trick or Treat on the Turf. No fee to attend, however we will be taking donations of granola bars, peanut butter crackers, and Vienna sausages for our food pantry with Bright Futures.

Bright Futures has teamed up with the BHS Basketball Team for a Hoodie Drive! You can donate hoodies during the month of October. Drop off locations include the High School Rotunda, Crossfit Testament, and Summerwood Sports. Thank you for helping us take care of our fellow panthers.

One of our Panthers needs our help. This is Samantha. She is a 10 year student at Caldwell Elementary. Samantha’s leukemia has recently relapsed. Her best chance for a cure is a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. It only take a few minutes and just a swab of the cheek to see if you could be a LIFESAVING match for Samantha or others in need. BMS Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, September 19 from 3:30-7:30. The building will be closed from 3:30-5:00 in order for teachers to contact parents regarding concerns about grades and how we can best help your student. Doors will be open from 5:00-7:30 for parents, guardians, and students to visit with teachers regarding grades. Drop-in only, no appointments. You may also email teachers if you have any concerns. If you need an email address for a teacher please call the office at 501-776-5740. Las conferencias de padres y maestros de BMS se llevarán a cabo el martes 19 de septiembre de 3:30 a 7:30. Don't Worry- Be Happy!!! BMS is providing school supplies to ALL students this year!! You are only responsible for a backpack. If your child is in Band/Choir you will need to provide them with a 1-inch binder.

Chromebook return will be this Friday, May 19. Students will need to bring their Chromebook, cover, and charger. They will be collected during 8th period. ACT Aspire testing for Benton Middle School is coming up next month. We will test Tuesday, May 2- Math/Writing Wednesday, May 3- English/Reading Thursday, May 4- Science Please ensure your student has no out-of-school appointments on the day of a test. A letter with additional information will go out on April 24, 2023.

The purpose of this survey is to help us evaluate the success of the hybrid conference model. Responses are voluntary and anonymous. https://forms.gle/QztKGWjdGWc9KNhw7 For our parent-teacher conferences on February 2, 2023, we utilized a hybrid schedule where half of the conference time was virtual and half of the conference time was in-person. From 3:30 to 5:30 pm, our conferences were virtual. During this time, teachers reached out via phone if they had any academic concerns about a student. They were also available to answer parent emails and call if a parent requested contact. From 5:30 to 7:30 pm, our doors were open for traditional, in-person conferences. Any parent was welcome to join us and visit with their child's teachers.
