Rezoning Update and Public Meeting Reminder The Benton School District is preparing for the opening of Mountain View Middle School in the fall of 2025. To accommodate this exciting addition, proposed rezoning plans have been developed to determine which students will attend each middle school. Under the current proposal: Students attending Caldwell Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, and parts of Ringgold Elementary will attend Mountain View Middle School. Students attending Howard Perrin Elementary, Angie Grant Elementary, and other parts of Ringgold Elementary will attend Benton Middle School. A Big Thank You to Everett Chevrolet! We’re thrilled to announce that, for the second year, our counselors at Benton Middle School, Benton Junior High, and Benton High School have partnered with Everett Chevrolet to provide strong, durable backpacks for students who need them throughout the year! Thanks to Everett Chevrolet’s generous donation, our counselors were able to purchase 73 backpacks to distribute across our secondary campuses, helping ensure that every student is ready to succeed. Thank you, Everett Chevrolet, for your continued support of our students and for strengthening our Benton Schools community!

Benton Public Schools will be closed November 25 - 29 for Thanksgiving Break.

Reminder: All campuses will have early dismissal on Thursday, October 24th for elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences! Dismissal will be one hour early, so please plan accordingly. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to seeing our elementary families at conferences

It’s time for our annual Salt Bowl Peanut Butter Drive! We will be collecting jars of peanut butter throughout September. You can drop off your donations at your child’s school or any Benton school from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Every jar of peanut butter you donate makes a difference! Please help us ensure that no child in Saline County goes without a nutritious meal!

BMS Parents and Guardians: The building will be open again today, August 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. During this time you can complete the paperwork and then pick up your student's schedule. A parent must be present. Students will be able to follow their schedules during this time. When you visit your student's campus this year, look for this sign! In an effort to track parent engagement on our campuses, our school counselors have created a quick way to let us know that you visited! This helps us track parental involvement and learn what events you like to attend.

Mark your calendars for the Ralph Bunche Community Action Committee Back2School Picnic! The event will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, from 9 am to 12 pm at the newly remodeled Ralph Bunch Community Center, 1600 Dixie Street, Benton. It will not be held at the park. This event is for families in the Benton School District only.
