A diaper drive battle between three schools in Saline County: Benton, Bauxite and Harmony Grove will be February 6-10. The school with the most diapers donated based on student body percentage will have a representative from that school wear a diaper for an entire school day on February 14th! Benton's representative is our very own principal, Mr. Barger! The winner of the diaper drive will be announced on Monday, February 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day. BHS is also making this a competition between each class. You will see a box for sophomores, juniors and seniors in the glass case for the diaper drive. Bring any size, quantity or brand of diapers before school only to the representative at the glass case. The class that brings the most diapers will also get out 5 minutes early for lunch to snap a quick picture with Mr. Barger on February 14th. All proceeds will go to The Call, a local organization that mobilizes local churches to serve saline counties youth placed in foster care. Your donation is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to the 11 students selected to represent Benton High School at the Perry Outreach next Saturday at UAMS. The Perry Outreach program is committed to inspiring young women to be leaders in the fields of orthopedics and engineering, two careers in which women are traditionally underrepresented. These amazing students will have the opportunity to work with doctors and engineers and gain hands on experience.
