Everett Supports STEM Learning at Howard Perrin
Exciting things are continuing to GROW in the Howard Perrin STEM Lab thanks to the generous support of a local community partner!
Howard Perrin STEM teacher Mr. Jeff recently applied for a classroom grant through Everett GMC and was awarded a $500 donation to support two projects already underway in the STEM Lab.
A portion of the funds will help complete an IMAX-style STEM theater, featuring a large screen that will allow students to experience science content on a much larger scale. The goal is to bring big ideas to life in a way that helps students better visualize, understand, and remember what they are learning.
The grant will also help complete a hands-on regulation station featuring cool, solid, conductive materials and simple activities designed to give students a space to move, solve, explore, and engage their senses through hands-on experiences.
These additions will provide even more opportunities for Howard Perrin students to explore, create, problem-solve, and learn in new ways.
We are incredibly grateful to Everett for investing in our students and supporting innovative learning opportunities in our STEM Lab. Everett continues to be a tremendous supporter of Howard Perrin Elementary and the Benton School District, and we appreciate their commitment to our schools and community.
Thank you, Everett, for helping our students GROW! 🌱🐾
