Our teachers are putting professional learning into action! After participating in summer training on Kagan cooperative learning strategies, teachers are bringing new ways of collaboration and student engagement into their classrooms.
Kagan Strategies are cooperative learning strategies that help students actively participate in their learning while working with their classmates. Instead of relying primarily on teacher-led instruction, students have structured opportunities to discuss ideas, solve problems, explain their thinking, and learn from one another. These strategies are designed to increase engagement, build communication and teamwork skills, and ensure that every student has an opportunity to participate and contribute.
Students are now having more opportunities to work with partners and teams, share their ideas, and actively participate in lessons. From structured discussions to interactive group activities, Kagan strategies are helping make learning more engaging and giving every student a chance to contribute.
We are excited to see our teachers continue to grow professionally and to see these strategies make a positive difference in our classrooms!
