Some Fun Ways to Make Exercise Fun For Your Family
1. Make time for play. Set aside 30 minutes for play 3 times a week. This could be just kicking a ball around the yard or shooting hoops. It could involve a game of tag or hide-and-seek. Your family can make up your own games.
2. Walk or bicycle wherever you go. Maybe take a 30 minute family walk after dinner. Use a pedometer to record your steps and count them up for the week. Then set a goal to increase your family's steps.
3. Include physical activities as part of a family gathering. Plan games for the family like relay races or tag.
4. Sing and dance while you clean the house or your room. Clean to your favorite songs and show off your best dance moves.
5. Include family in outside chores. Rake leaves and then run through them. Race to pick up items in the yard. You can shoot trash you find at a trashcan. Make the work active and fun.
