Arkansas America250 Ornament Project District Winners!
Our campuses were buzzing with creativity this season as students designed ornaments for the statewide Arkansas Celebrates America250 project. Each school submitted entries, and a committee carefully reviewed them using a rubric to select three ornaments—one from each level—to represent Benton School District at the Arkansas State Capitol.
We are proud to announce our 2025 district selections:
✨ Elementary: Rylee Wesselhoft, 1st Grade – Mountain View Elementary
✨ Middle School/Junior High: Ava Crawford, 7th Grade – Mountain View Middle School
✨ High School: Akira Fallad, 10th Grade – Benton High School
All ornaments from across Arkansas are now on display in the Old Supreme Court Room at the State Capitol through mid-January. Every submitted ornament—statewide—is also featured in the new digital gallery at:

Save the date for the BHS Medical College and Career Fair on Monday, November 10, from 5-7 pm. We will have deans, professors, and students from medical majors across Arkansas here to answer your questions about pursuing a medical career. We will also have alumni in medical professions who will demonstrate medical skills, answer your questions, and participate in panel discussions about what led them to their careers. Put it on your calendar and join us for an incredible night!

ESS, Benton School District’s partner for substitute teachers and support staff, will host a Hiring Event on Monday, November 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Professional Development Center, located at 211 N Border St, Benton, AR 72015.
This event is a great opportunity for individuals interested in working in Benton schools — whether as a substitute teacher, classroom aide, or in another support position. ESS representatives will be available to answer questions, assist with applications, and share information about the rewarding opportunities available across the district.
