November is shaping up to be an exciting month at Mountain View Elementary! We have a calendar full of opportunities for learning, family engagement, celebration, and fun as we head into the season of gratitude!

We will kick off the month with our Storybook Pumpkin Patch, with decorated pumpkins due by 3:00 p.m. on November 2 for those who want to participate. We can't wait to see the creativity our Panthers bring to this fun literacy activity!

Our Child Safety Matters lessons will also take place on November 2 and 9, providing important opportunities for students to learn about personal safety.

One of the highlights of the month will be our Superhero Family Literacy Night on Thursday, November 5, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. We are excited to welcome our Panther families for an evening celebrating the power of reading! Our Book Fair will run November 5–11, giving students and families an opportunity to discover some great new books. The book fair will be open for families to shop together during our Superhero Family Literacy Night.

The following week will bring more special events! Make-Up School Pictures will take place on Tuesday, November 10.

On Wednesday, November 11, at 8:00 a.m., we will proudly host our Veterans Day Assembly to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. We encourage everyone to wear red, white, and blue as we come together to show our appreciation for our veterans.

On Friday, November 20, our PTO will host a Snack Fundraiser featuring chips. We appreciate our PTO and the many ways they support our students and school!

Finally, we will enjoy a well-deserved Thanksgiving Break, November 23–27, with no school for students. As we enter this season of thankfulness, we want to express how grateful we are for our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. Together, we make Mountain View Elementary a special place to learn and grow!

We look forward to another wonderful month of making memories, celebrating learning, and showing our Panther pride!
