Mrs. VanDam’s fourth graders had a little fun while learning about the role of their school counselor! After a lively game of *Pin the Tail on the Counselor*, students used a Timed Pair Share with their shoulder partners to talk about ways to get along with others.
A few laughs, thoughtful conversations, and an important reminder: our school counselor is here to help students learn, grow, and work through challenges. ❤️🐾

Last week, our students celebrated International Dot Day with a special focus on having the courage to try, create, and make their mark! We talked about how sometimes making your mark starts with simply being brave enough to make that first “dot.”
Our students also spent time building their reading stamina and discovering that reading can happen in so many different ways! From reading while riding our bikes to playing literacy games and creating at our art cart, our library stations give students opportunities to practice important skills while developing a love of reading.
We are working to help our students become confident, independent readers who can choose books, stay engaged, try new things, and enjoy learning together.
Every dot, every page, every game, and every creative idea helps our Panthers make their mark! 🐾
