The Benton High School Band has consistently earned first division ratings and sweepstakes honors at marching, concert and sight reading contests. The students enjoy performing a wide variety of music, including orchestra transcriptions and upper grade level band music. Many also perform for the school musicals and community groups. Two thirds of the BHS Band routinely qualify for participation in the ASBOA Region 5 Honor bands with over half of those auditioning for the Arkansas All State Bands. Almost every Benton Band Alumni earns a band scholarship if they choose to continue performing in college. Some alumni are now performing with professional orchestras.
