On February 22,1995, a group of former graduates & faculty members conceived the idea of the "Benton Athletic Memorial Museum." This is a one of a kind in the state of Arkansas, and it may be the only one of a kind in the country. The contents of the building include many trophies of the old Benton High School, the old Benton Junior High School and the former East Side and West Side Junior High Schools, which no longer exist. The building also houses a history of Benton High School from River Street to Border Street. The earliest trophy on display is a 1939 track trophy. There is also a current history of the Benton Junior High Panthers. Also represented in the building are the various histories of the band programs, cheerleaders & pep squads and academic achievements won for the school by her students. In addition we have basketball, football and homecoming films dating back to 1957 through the present which can be viewed. Come see Cheer-0-Kee Hall and the Coaches Corner.

Do you have an individual who you would like to be considered for future induction into the wall of fame? Contact any board member or you can contact Donnie Burks for additional information.
If your class is planning a reunion and you would like to have the museum reserved for a tour, please contact DONNIE BURKS AT 501-776-4054. Many former classes have already toured the building and have given it high marks. Let us know if we can help.
