On March 8th, a Benton athlete, Grant Steed, collapsed on the baseball field; he was not breathing and had no pulse. If it were not for the actions of Coaches Garrett Parker and Rusty Davis, along with Athletic Trainer TJ White, this event would have been a tragedy. These three activated and followed through with the Emergency Action Plan flawlessly until EMS arrived and took over. After 51 days in Arkansas Children's Hospital, Grant was able to walk out of the hospital and go home. Thanks to Garrett, Rusty, and TJ for their heroic efforts that saved a life!
