2012-2013 BHS Panther Cheerleaders

The Benton High School Cheerleaders recently attended summer camp at Mississippi State University with the Universal Cheerleaders Association.  There were over 800 campers at the camp.  The Benton squad was named Camp Champions by the staff and also received the Leadership Award which is voted on by all the other squads at camp.  The squad received all superior ribbons as well as the spirit stick each night.  All nine of the seniors on the squad were selected as All Americans and received invitations to tryout for UCA staff.  They are Loren B, Brittany C, Alix D, Sydnee G, Jaci J, Hannah J, Lindsey M, Karrah P, and Stevie W.  Lauren Dand Sydney U were both in the Jump Off Finals, and Sydney U was named the Jump Champion.  Brittany C was also awarded the Dancing Diva Award.   In addition to the awards listed above, the Benton Cheerleaders were selected by Varsity TV as the only squad at camp for their crew to follow for a full day at camp, and Sydnee G was selected as the spokesperson for the squad.  The squad will be featured this summer in the Ultimate Camp Adventure on varsity.com.  The squad also participated in the Team Up for St. Jude's Project while at camp, and they turned in over 400 names and addresses for possible donors for this cause.

The squad members are  Bailey P, Captain Brittany C, Carly H, Co-Captain Alix D, Co-Captain Sydnee G, Gillian W, Hannah J, Jaci J, Karrah P, Laura Beth S, Lauren D, Lindsey M, Loren B, MacKenzie P, Olivia O, Rachel S, Reagan V, Stevie W, Sydney U, and Taylor R.

The squad is coached by Karen Hilborn.
