Karla Neathery joined the Benton School District in 2004 as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Professional Development. She comes from a family of educators and has served in various educational roles in the Benton and Bryant School Districts. Mrs. Neathery was an elementary classroom teacher for seven years. She spent five years as an elementary assistant principal and elementary principal before moving to the Benton School District.
Mrs. Neathery has a bachelor’s degree in education from Ouachita Baptist University, a master’s degree in educational administration from Henderson State University, and an educational specialist’s degree (EDS) in administration from Henderson State University.
An important aspect of her life is her family with whom she feels very blessed to have—her husband, Scott, is a teacher and coach, her daughter is a senior at BHS, and her son is a 9th grader student at BJH.
